consultancy
‘My task is to facilitate, never impose, it is your garden and your space, we are partners in creating a design that is perfect for you and your family’
experience
David is a designer with over fifty years experience and his passion for gardens, large or small, urban or rural, is undiminished.
Consultancy is the heart of the business and David will be delighted to meet with you in your garden to find out just what you want.
This is very much a two way process and gathering information is a vital part of the design process.
In a ‘new build’ situation David will be more than happy to work with you and your architect in the conceptual stages so that house, garden and landscape blend seamlessly.
I would emphasise that I am not just a designer of large expansive (and sometimes expensive!) gardens but equally interested in small domestic and family orientated compositions. These are vitally important and I love working on them.
Plans can be prepared from an initial sketch proposal right through to finished working drawings. Once the layout scheme is completed and agreed David can then prepare full planting layouts that take into account your personal preferences, soil type, location and microclimate.
The building of a designed garden is a highly specialised process and David works closely with only the finest landscapers, friends and colleagues he has known for many years. There are companies he trusts to realise his schemes.
