A Perfect Large Country Garden

There are some gardens you just fall in love with and this was one, and it’s now open to the public.

I was asked by my good friends and clients Lynda and Harry Rowlinson to redesign the gardens at Abbeywood, in Delamere, Cheshire.

This was a beautiful and fulfilling project and Lynda and Harry, together with their gardener have built, kept and developed it superbly.

The gardens centre on the old tennis court which we swept away, replacing it with a long pool and beautifully planted borders. But the garden is far more than this with a quite gorgeous Pergola Walk, Vegetable Garden, Arboretum, Chapel Garden, sweeping lawns and a great Tea Room.
